Maria Gugging is a village close to Vienna. The site accommodated for more than ten years one of Austria´s first country clubs. The new residential complex adaptes the idea of a recreation area with multiple sport facilities. Four houses with maisonette apartments are situated on a slope. Each apartment offers private terraces and gardens on different levels. The flats with approximately 180m² are suitable especially for families. The various platforms of the building layer one upon the other and allow the structure to melt with the surrounding landscape. Local materials and colors harmonize the building with its rural setting. The common areas offer a wide range of activities for recreation. A swimming pool, tennis courts, a playground and a pond cultivate the neighbourship.
