The apartment building is designed as a simple well organized structure. One central core reduces the traffic area and optimizes the technical infrastructure. Open spaces with planting areas guarantee a high value building for minimized costs. The entrance area in between the buildings is a unique vertical garden. Water surfaces and a spring in den ground floor bring a cooling effect and reflect daylight. Protection from direct sun, as well as plants and water surfaces deliver a natural cooling system for all apartments. Public balconies with plants, hanging green and a sun deck with a public pool are supplied. In the ground floor a small shopping mall and a coffeehouse offer a cool place to stay. The passage to the apartments is a bright transparent and open space. The glass facade on the outside is designed as a building skin with sun protection glass. The balcony areas function as a cooling and ventilation area. Lamellas in the facade offer the sun protection and a natural ventilation for the apartments. So no additional sun protection will be needed. The green court and the ventilated balconies minimize the costs for the air conditioning. All apartments have a connection to this inner space, nevertheless all living rooms and bedroom are orientated to the outside. All apartments are oriented side-wise so the privacy for all apartments is guaranteed Open spaces like loggias and balconies to outside of the building offer a great view and the needed private outdoor spaces. Thus all apartments will have a natural horizontal ventilation opportunity.
